He emphasized that Ethereum operates in 34 different chains, hindering its cohesion. Vitalik outlined key future goals for Ethereum, including achieving over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) via Layer 2, enabling transfers between any chains within 2 seconds, unifying the user experience, surpassing the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and ensuring secure blockchain links.
